The natural color of niobium is steel gray. I have anodized these earrings to be "bronze" in color to complement the color of the beads. The colors in anodizing niobium are achieved by running an electric current through the metal at specific levels. The only thing that changes is the color of the outer layer of the niobium - there are no dyes or other metals used in this process - it is still pure niobium all the way through.
